Mark & Sylvia Old Lyme CT Art Gallery Wedding

Mark & Sylvia Old Lyme CT Art Gallery Wedding

Old Lyme CT is a wonderful History and preserved little town . Despite the long drive from our studio location in Sea Cliff NY (approx 3:15 min ). It was so nice to take a little road trip because after meeting Sylvia and Mark for the first time on their engagement portrait session, we knew it was well worth it .
The "Lyme" in Lyme disease was named after the town. It was discovered in 1975 after a mysterious outbreak of what appeared to be juvenile rheumatoid arthritis in children who lived in Lyme and Old Lyme.
Considering their history , Sylvia and Mark decided to host their wedding at one of the art galleries in Old lyme called The Lyme Arts Association . What an amazing and historical location. It had a sort of authentic and Vintage feeling.
Our day began at the Marriott hotel where we started with the prep such as : rings, shoes, invitation , and any other type of jewelry collections. Also Sylvia's dress was made just for her. it was very modern with no traditional touches. A normal wedding dress is usually white, in this case she had a off-white with a touch of blue . A mutual friend of ours Christine from Piece of Cake Events  introduced Mark & Sylvia to us. It is always a pleasure working with her and her staff. They do have a special touch and their process makes everyone's day much easier.
After we Sylvia got into her dress we immediately went down stairs and we used the side of the hotel for the first look . We were worried that running a little behind would of affected us.
Originally we were scheduled to go to a barn and have a small mini-portrait session there however, with the time situation we decided to skip it.
Once we showed up at the Art galleries I started to scout the place and collaborate with my associates to see the best possible scenario for the portraits & and video. We had plenty of ideas so we started to execute them.
Mark was a little nervous during the shoot , but the more we spoke to him , the more comfortable he started to feel . This was perfect because we wanted that natural interaction that I saw during their New Haven Engagement session .
We Also enjoyed the ceremony because of Mark & Sylvia vows. Everyone in the audience that were listening showed  compassion and smiles.
Everyone on the dance-floor was really funny which gave us wonderful moments to capture.
I know these two will have a wonderful life together and their new adventure when they relocated down south for Sylvia New Job opportunity .
