Bourne Mansion with Russel & Aylin

Bourne Mansion with Russell & Aylin

Where to begin . I met Russell & Aylin back in Late autumn of 2013. Our initial meeting was during their engagement session We had the engagement session at the Sands Point Preserve. What a great adventure ! . It was an amazing experience meeting them and speaking to them about their wedding .

They were truly excited about the Bourne Mansion . They spoke of the grounds and history as if they grew up there .

One thing that shocked me a little initially was the weather. May is turning into a crazy month. From a range of 20-30 min the weather took a turn for the worst but then cleared up again.

This gave all of us a little brake from all of the commotion from the beginning of the day .

We were worried because Aylin really wanted her ceremony to be on the grounds behind the mansion overlooking the water.  Ideally the best place for a ceremony is behind the mansion . Although it seemed that it would of rained , mother nature really wanted to make us happy and gave us that 1-2 hour gay where we got most of the portraits and ceremony done.

Their wish came true to recite their vows and give themselves to each other in a wonderful sunny day.  From the live music to the people and the environment everyone really seemed to enjoy themselves.

Even the origin team had a good time and had amazing photograph to showcase . Towards the end of the night after every works out magically, I asked Russell & Aylin if they wanted a night-time shot in front of the mansion.

We took this opportunity and it really did work out in our favor. I was so honored and happy to be a part of their special day. Looking forward to seeing them again .

Brooklyn Prospect Park with Rena & Sudip

Rena & Sudip Brooklyn promenade engagement
I met Rena & Sudip for the first time at my old studio location in Hicksville. From the first time we met I knew there was something special about this couple. Sometimes the initially meeting with a client is the hardest . This wasn't the case because we understood each other from the start. I loved the enthusiasm that Rena & Sudip had for each other and for their wedding celebration at the wonderful Oheka castle .
That is one venue that we have been a part of and would recommend to anyone who is seeking for a good location. It was a late saturday afternoon and I met Rena & Sudip at Prospect park. What an amazing location for photographs.
Sudip actually mentioned that the park was inspired by the same people who made central park . The architects were Frederick Law Olmsted, and Calvert Vaux. Actually, this was quite impressive that he knew this information. In this day normally people would use their phones asking (siri) or (google) who made it but not in this case. Honestly this shows integrity and initiative.
This location as well as the Brooklyn Promenade were special . They even mentioned that Sudip proposed at the Brooklyn Promenade which made it even more of a reason to take photos there.  Our job as photograph is always to re-create moments and photograph their natural smiles. In this case , Rena & Sudip chemistry made my job very easy. Smile after smile , it was incredible.
Soon after the Brooklyn prospect park we decided to change. Well, they changed I just help their bags. While waiting I noticed this really cool restaurant which I would recommend to anyone who likes Rollerskating .
I believe you can actually wear the RollerSkates inside the restaurant.  There's a RollerSkating ring next to the Restaurant.  Shortly after we drove to the Brooklyn Promenade  . This is a very difficult location to park.  Save yourself the trouble and google parking lots around the area.
There are many of them at a very affordable rate.  We had amazing sundown photos at the Brooklyn Promenade that overlooked the city skyline. The sky Turned pink. Rena & Sudip were very excited and this allowed us to capture remarkable moments.
We eagerly await your wedding at the wonderful Oheka Castle  and we look forward to seeing you soon. Once again congratulations on your engagement .

DO YOU HAVE A BUDGET ON YOUR WEDDING. READ THIS BEFORE YOU SHOP !

DO YOU HAVE A BUDGET ON YOUR WEDDING. READ THIS BEFORE YOU SHOP !

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XKZPjPJuhK8

Hey  Guys thank you so much for reading or listening to my msg regarding this topic. My name is Fil with origin photos and today I wanted to discuss a little bit about a few questions and concerns that I have been receiving online for the brides.

Regarding budget . Don't get stuck. That is a big problem to run into . I'm here to help you.

We understand that a wedding celebration is a lot of money.   But you have to also understand . What is more important to you.
Take a pen and paper and write it down for yourself. See what is the most aspect or vendor for the day .

What is more important to you ? Video , photo , food , dj, band or venue. Coming from us we can tell you that the only thing you will have left at the end of your end or years to come is your PHOTOGRAPHS.

You need to understand very clearly and to get it through your thick skull is what is important to you ? Keep asking yourself this question so you can allocate to your budget properly.

Looking at it from a big picture . Thats how you allocate the proper budget for each vendor for your wedding day celebration .

No matter how much budget you may have 10k, 20k, 50k, or even 100k .  Perhaps you may be receiving a wedding from mommy and daddy ? lol

The point is ,  If you feel like your wedding day celebration can't go without a dj because thats the most important aspect of your day then focus on the dj first. Find the best music mixer out there.

If you feel like 20 years from now your video or photo (hint hint) may be something that you cant live without and don't want to cheap out on . Then obviously hire the photo and video guy first.

Last thing you want to do is settle because of budget constraints and limitations.

The worst thing you can do for your wedding is settle for something that could of been and should of been .

Don't let your budget determine wether or not you will have a good photographer. Believe it or not this is very important.

For example, I ha a client that came into my studio to compare me to some shoemakers that I cannot say out here in NY. Unfortunately I knew the studio very well and she even gave me their price sheet. Which I was completely in shock when she did.

Quality speaks for itself and the price -tag was as if we went to McDonalds together to pick up a few whoppers.

I honestly don't know how some of these studios are still in business and I truly feel like this is what's destroying this business.

At this point through all of the post-processing, rendering time, and the finishing touches, it will end up that not only do you loose money but you would end up paying more out of your own pocket.

I don't blame the potential client, because she does not understand the process. For example, if I went to a mechanic and asked him for a few things in my mind I would think just like the client because I don't understand what it takes to work on a car.

As far as budget is concerns, I completely understand that you need meet it and not exceed it however, what happens after the party ?. What will you have to remember the wedding day celebration.

This is something to think about 10 years down the line .
I really hope that answered some of your concerns regarding budget situations in certain tight situations.

Should you have any questions or concerns please email me, call me, or even comment below.

thanks for the support

Sometimes it is just a natural reaction that you should seek for. It is something that should happen without any type of poses . Let it happen.

Sometimes it is the photographer's responsibility to direct them or set up a moment with them .

Let me be themselves so they can socialize and rest-assured, they will act just like themselves.

Its a wonderful moment and occasion .

Its a joyous occasion and just let them enjoy themselves with the bride.

Definitely scout of the area for the perfect scenario, lighting and also location .
